Senior Account Manager, Prairies
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Senior Account Manager to join our Sales team in the Prairies region.
Reporting to the District Manager of Prairies Sales, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for leading strategic sales and account management activities for complex customer accounts, owning account strategy, revenue performance, and senior‑level customer relationships. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role positions Esri Canada’s software, professional services, and training solutions to address complex customer needs while coordinating cross‑functional teams to drive long‑term account growth and value.
This role will be hybrid, based in Edmonton, Alberta.

A Day in the Life of a Senior Account Manager at Esri Canada:
- Lead strategic account planning and sales execution for complex customer accounts, accountable for revenue performance and long‑term account growth.
- Independently sell at a strategic level within accounts, demonstrating a strong understanding of customer business priorities, operating environments, and decision‑making processes.
- Proactively generate and pursue new sales opportunities through strategic outbound prospecting, social selling, networking, and targeted account outreach within complex customer environments.
- Develop and execute multi‑year account strategies aligned to customer objectives and Esri Canada’s market and growth priorities.
- Act as the primary sales lead for assigned accounts, orchestrating cross‑functional involvement across Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and Partners.
- Lead complex negotiations and influence customer decision‑making in multi‑stakeholder and potentially sensitive environments.
- Analyze market, industry, and account dynamics to adapt sales strategies and respond to emerging opportunities or risks.
- Maintain ownership of account plans, forecasts, and pipeline visibility in Salesforce to support performance management and planning.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sales or account management involving complex, solution‑based selling.
- Demonstrated experience managing large or complex customer accounts and closing high‑value sales opportunities.
- Experience selling enterprise technology, software, or GIS‑related solutions is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders.
- Proven strategic thinking skills applied to complex account and sales environments. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams without formal authority.
- Proven negotiation and influencing skills in complex or ambiguous sales situations.
- Demonstrated commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting and pipeline management.
- Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively to varied audiences.
- Demonstrated proficiency using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage pipeline, forecasting, and account activity.
- Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions

- Bilingual proficiency (English / French) is considered an asset.
Compensation & Benefits:
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $105,100 to $124,800 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
