Technical Solutions Specialist, AEC
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Technical Solutions Specialist to join our AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) department.
Reporting to the Director of AEC, this role will contribute to the success of supporting strategic efforts within Esri Canada’s AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) department and work closely with the Industry Manager, Customer Success Manager, Partner Manager, Marketing and Regional Technical Solution Specialists, to demonstrate ArcGIS based solutions in support of AEC industry technology requirements and provide technical advice for strategic initiatives of the AEC department, in a pre-sales capacity, to prospective customers, existing customers and key business partners.
This role is fully remote within Canada.

A Day in the Life of a Technical Solutions Specialist at Esri Canada
- Design and configure ArcGIS‑based workflows tailored to AEC customer and partner requirements, including complex and multi‑system integrations.
- Lead the development and delivery of industry‑specific demonstrations and proof‑of‑concepts that position Esri technology within the AEC market.
- Act as a technical advisor on AEC initiatives, opportunities, and proposals, providing solution strategy and technical guidance in a pre‑sales context.
- Collaborate with Industry Managers, Partner Managers, Account Managers, Marketing, and Regional Technical Solutions Specialists to align solution design with business objectives.
- Work closely with Esri Inc. AEC teams and relevant third‑party technology partners to support integrated solution scenarios.
- Independently engage with customers and partners to refine requirements, address technical questions, and validate solution approaches.
- Contribute to the development of reusable technical content, demonstrations, and best practices that support AEC solution consistency and scalability.
- Participate in planning and execution of AEC strategic initiatives, including defining scope, priorities, and deliverables.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience designing, supporting, or delivering technical solutions, demonstrations, or proof‑of‑concepts within a GIS or AEC technology environment.
- Experience working with AEC industry software and workflows, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, BIM 360, or comparable platforms.
- Knowledge of AEC workflows, including drones, digital twins, indoor scanning, imagery, LiDAR, and field data capture is a preferred qualification for this role.
- Familiarity with additional AEC tools such as InfraWorks, Bentley MicroStation (iTwin), ProjectWise, Bluebeam Revu, or Hexagon CADWorx® is considered an asset.
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in geomatics, geographic information systems (GIS), geography, engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Additional requirements for this position:
- Proven ability to design and deliver client‑facing presentations and technical demonstrations, including walking customers and partners through proof‑of‑concept solutions.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of ArcGIS technologies, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS apps, and integration patterns with AEC systems.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently with customers and partners to gather requirements, propose solution approaches, and address technical questions.
- Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and occasionally to the United States to support customer, partner, or company initiatives.
- Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Compensation & Benefits:

This role offers a base salary range of $86,900 to $103,200 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
