Business Analyst, Assessment
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for a Business Analyst to join our Assessment Department.
Working under the direction of the Manager, Solution Analysis, the Business Analyst, Assessment plays a key role in the successful delivery of Esri Canada’s Assessment Analyst: Geographic‑Assisted Mass Appraisal (AA GAMA) solution within the Professional Services Assessment practice. This role is responsible for leading complex business analysis activities across client‑facing GAMA implementations, including requirements discovery, process analysis, and solution alignment.
The person in this role applies deep Assessment and CAMA domain knowledge to evaluate client workflows, interpret legislative and jurisdictional requirements, and support the configuration of scalable, high‑quality solutions. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy, partners closely with Project Managers and technical teams, and contributes to consistent delivery standards and continuous improvement initiatives across the practice.
This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of a Business Analyst at Esri Canada:
- Lead business analysis activities for AA GAMA implementation projects, including requirements elicitation, business process mapping, solution design support, and validation.
- Analyze client assessment and valuation workflows to ensure alignment with AA GAMA capabilities, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation to support solution configuration and implementation.
- Facilitate client workshops, interviews, and working sessions, engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Solution Architects, and technical delivery teams to support integrated project execution.
- Identify gaps between client needs and system capabilities and recommend practical solution approaches.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of analysis templates, methodologies, and reusable assets.
- Provide guidance and informal mentoring to junior analysts and team members, supporting overall delivery quality.
What you bring to the team:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Assessment industry, including exposure to CAMA systems, valuation workflows, or property assessment environments.
- Demonstrated experience performing business analysis, requirements gathering, or solution design for enterprise or SaaS implementations.
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business Analysis, GIS, Public Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Demonstrated depth of working knowledge in Assessment and CAMA environments, including legislation interpretation, valuation practices, assessment data models, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to balance independent delivery responsibilities with collaboration and guidance from the Manager, Solution Analysis in a professional services or implementation context.
- Proven capability to contribute effectively to cross‑functional initiatives and work within complex stakeholder environments, including Project Managers, technical teams, and Product business units.
- Demonstrated analytical strength, with the ability to translate complex business requirements and client workflows into practical, scalable solution approaches.
- Proven track record of contributing to continuous improvement in analysis practices, methodologies, and delivery standards within a project‑driven environment.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication, including facilitating workshops and engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Fluency in English is essential, as this role requires regular client communication and support in English-speaking regions

Compensation & Benefits:
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. This role offers a base salary range of $ 86,900 to $ 109,500 annually, determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
